Lately, Xolo continues to be aggressively marketing its devices, especially on tv, with promotional banners and ads appearing on primetime. Now, Xolo will likely be launching its first 4G smartphone with Bharti Airtel, in accordance with reports through the Times during India. Xolo may be the first Indian brand to provide a time-division duplex long-term evolution (TD-LTE) smartphone in India, as shipments will start at the end of the month.
Xolo has wants to launch several 4G devices at different prices, supporting TD-LTE technology, in 2014. Furthermore, best phone under 10000 also plans to ship more than half millions of devices this quarter alone, as it predicts that sales for 4G devices is going to be competitive by 2015. As previously reported, currently, Bharti Airtel is definitely the only network in India by using a 4G LTE network, as well as then, it’s only in select cities. Furthermore, Bharti Airtel recently signed an agreement with Reliance Jio for sharing network infrastructure in order to prevent duplication.
Personally, I want to eventually see 4G LTE technology available across India. Only then would I consider buying a 4G LTE device. Since it currently stands, with both unit and network availability limitations, consumers don’t seem to be that enthusiastic about making the switch. What I’ve also realized is that along with most subscribers being content on either a 2G or 3G network, some aren’t conscious that 4G can be purchased in select cities, and even available at all. Clearly, consumers must be informed to help make a choice, and so i really don’t feel like the telecom operators are making most of an endeavor to tell them.
Through the same token, besides network availability issues, there’s also not enough 4G devices obtainable in the Indian market. When you enter your nearby bazaar or market, they only don’t carry 4G devices. You normally need to go for the high-end departmental stores, and already you know you’ll be paying limited because you’re buying something m0bi1e the mall, not your community.
However, with Xolo bundling its 4G smartphone with Bharti Airtel, I’m sure its stores will start carrying the devices, too. At least they’ll be an alternative choice for purchasing a 4G device. So what on earth can this mean for current subscribers and new clients? Probably, you will have competitive pricing, aligned similarly between both operators. However, the greatest gain will likely be for Reliance Jio, as they will now get access to Bharti Airtel’s 4G LTE network.
Reliance Jio and another operator, Aircel , are trying to secure second place with 4G LTE offerings across India, now using this arrangement, clearly, Reliance Jio is within the lead. However, there were reports of poor quality service on Bharti Airtel’s existing 4G LTE network, and in turn, this may also reflect negatively on Reliance Jio too. Also arrangement, it would be great to view both operators expanding in several regions across India, again to protect yourself from overlap and duplication. By consolidating expansion into mutually exclusive areas, both operators still stand to benefit and profit from the complete arrangement.
